Bhigwan Workshop - Bird Photography Tour - 25th to 27th January, 2025
Bhigwan, A Paradise for Flamingos to Eagles, Wolfs to Hyenas. Around 100 kms away from Pune, exists a small town, also referred to as the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra”, as it hosts thousands of migratory birds during the winter. One of the major attractions of Bhigwan is the arrival of the greater flamingos with the onset of the migratory season. However, the area is studded with many other different species of birds including Herons, Cormorants, Egrets, Kingfishers, ducks, geese and many more. Most of the bird sightings happen around two places, Diksal and Kumbhargaon.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
At 6.00 am leave From Kranti flamingo point by Scorpio. Morining session we go for Wolf and some raptors, Breakfast on the way..
Post lunch we will do around 3pm till sunset we will go ahead with boat safari.
After 6pm to Kranthi flamingo point for dinner and night stay.
Day 2 :
Pick us up from Kranthi flamingo point at 5:00 am to go for Hyena.
Breakfast on the way.
We will Return for lunch and leave by 3:00 pm for Evening Grassland Safari for Harriers and try for Fox
After 6pm to Kranthi flamingo point for dinner and night stay.
Day 3 :
Pick us up from Kranthi flamingo point at 5:00 am to go for Grassland birds
Post Breakfast at 8.00 am birding photography near flamingo point. Lunch at 12.30 pm and leave for Pune.
Things to carry:
- Telephoto lenses – preferably above 400 mm for birds
- Carry fully charged batteries for your camera / flash.
- Carry battery charger. Carry extra pack of camera batteries
- Carry backup memory cards / HDD storage drives, Laptop
- Carry a bean bag to stabilize your gears while shooting from boat & Car
- It is advisable to carry basic first aid along with you.
- Please carry Odomos to keep you protected from mosquito bites.
- Carry good binoculars

Cancellation policy
- All cancellations before 30 days of the event date - 100% credit
- All cancellations between 20 - 30 days of the event date - 50% credit
- All cancellations within 20 days of the event date - No credit possible
