Tipeshwar Tiger Reserve - Photography Workshop on 24-26 January 2026 (Republic Day Holiday)
Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Pandharkawada region of Yavatmal district, Maharashtra, is a captivating destination for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Spanning approximately 148.63 square kilometers, this sanctuary is renowned for its rich biodiversity and serene landscapes.
Day 1: 24 January, 2026 (Afternoon Safari)
Arrival and Check-In
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Arrive at the chosen eco-resort or forest rest house near Sunna Gate, Tipeshwar.
- Check-in, freshen up, and have lunch.
- Receive a short orientation about safari rules and wildlife etiquette.
Afternoon Safari (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
- Report at the entry gate by 1:45 PM.
- Board your gypsy safari vehicle with a forest guide.
- Venture into the forest for a thrilling 4-hour safari.
- Look out for Tigers (Tipeshwar is known for regular sightings), leopards, sloth bears, gaur, wild dogs, and numerous bird species.
- Explore Sunna Gate Core, which is known for higher tiger activity.
Evening
- 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Return to the lodge, relax.
- Enjoy a nature talk or documentary on local wildlife (if available at your lodge).
- Dinner under the stars with sounds of the forest in the background.
Day 2: 25 January, 2026
Early Morning Start:
- 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM: Wake up, have tea/snacks.
- Carry packed breakfast.
Morning Safari (6:30 AM – 10:30 AM)
Key species to spot:
- Tigers
- Sloth bears, Indian leopards, Indian bison (gaur)
- Wild boars, sambar, nilgai
- Over 180 species of birds – including peacocks, eagles, kingfishers, and owls.
- Stay alert during the hotter hours – tigers often come to waterholes around noon.
Afternoon Safari (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

- Clothing: Light, neutral-colored cotton clothes; full sleeves; cap/hat.
- Essentials: Water, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera (no flash).
- Rules: No loud talking, littering, or feeding animals. Stay seated in the vehicle at all times.

Cancellation policy
- All cancellations before 30 days of the event date - 100% credit
- All cancellations between 20 - 30 days of the event date - 50% credit
- All cancellations within 20 days of the event date - No credit possible
